Before today you must have made many recipes on Blackstone but today we’ll make a quick and easy snack that is popcorn. When I was trying this recipe for the first time, I had many thoughts in mind about whether this recipe would be good or not.

But when I tried it, trust me it was more flavourful than normal popcorn. And I’m sure that when you make it on Blackstone, you’ll eat until the last popcorn. 

You’ll need a few ingredients and it’ll be ready in a few minutes. So, without further ado, let’s move on.

Is Popcorn a Healthy Snack?

Popcorn is a 99% healthy snack, but it can depend on how you prepare it.  Popcorn is a whole grain. According to the research of the American Heart Association, whole grains can help improve heart health by lowering cholesterol levels and reducing blood pressure. 

It can also be helpful for diabetes, cancer, and other health patients. Popcorn contains fibre, which can help you feel fuller longer and may aid in weight loss.

As I said before, the healthfulness of Blackstone popcorn will depend on the ingredients you choose. When you use a lot of butter, salt or other toppings, the popcorn will lose its original nutritional value and become less healthy.

Note: Many popcorns available in markets or movie theatres are not healthy because they use artificial flavours and unhealthy oils. So, try to make popcorn snacks at home. 

How to Make Popcorn on Blackstone Griddle

Ingredients

  • Popcorn Kernels
  • Oil
  • Melted Butter
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle to high heat. Make sure the griddle should be clean.
  2. Add oil to the surface and spread it evenly.
  3. Spread the popcorn kernels on the griddle in a single layer. Make sure they’re evenly distributed so that they pop at the same time.
  4. Cover the griddle with a cooking dome or aluminium foil to trap heat inside.
  5. Allow the popcorn to heat up and start popping.
  6. Keep cooking until the popping sounds slow down or stop. It can take around 3-5 minutes.
  7. Turn off the griddle and remove the cover from the popcorn.
  8. Now, take the popcorn from the griddle and place it in a large plastic or glass bowl.
  9. Drizzle melted butter over the popped popcorn, distributing it as evenly as you can.
  10. Sprinkle some salt but make sure not to use too much salt. Because butter may already contain salt.
  11. Mix the popcorn, melted butter, and salt well.
  12. Serve and enjoy!

Remember: Melted butter contains calories and fat in it. If you don’t want to add more calories and fat to your popcorn dish, simply leave it. And the rest of the process is the same.

How much corn kernels are needed for one person?

It depends on the appetite of the next person, and how hungry he is. I think half a cup of popcorn kernels will be plenty but if you are very hungry then 1 cup will be fine. I would suggest you make some popcorn first. Because popcorn in a cup looks small, but in reality it is not.

Can I store Popcorn for later use?

Yes, you can. But personally, I would not recommend storing popcorn. Because I think that storing it makes a lot of difference in its taste and it is not very tasty to eat. But if you want to do it, simply store your popcorn in an airtight container in a dry place.
